Aardsma, the No. 1 pick of the Giants (22nd overall) in the 2003 draft, was the closer for the Mariners in 2009 and 2010, posting 69 saves in those two seasons. He turned 30 in December, so he still has time to recover from the TJ surgery and be a productive player. Blogging Bombers tweets:

Which means he's likely headed straight to the 60-day disabled list. In any event, he will remain first overall in the all-time alphabetical list of major league players, just ahead of Henry and Tommie Aaron.
