Really not much more needed to get you interested. Via Reddit, here's Greg Maddux back when he couldn't get "We Are the World" out of his head.

Also, they apparently have two guys playing right field.
Listen to the first 30 seconds again. Palmeiro in right, some dude in center, and some dude in right. Oh, minor league baseball!

Dante Bichette!
This is amazing. Maddux was getting strikes a foot off the plate even then. And so many broadcasting cliches were already in play. For one thing, the color guy is bad. There’s also:
“I talked to the players before the game…”
“That’s a x-game swing…”
Good stuff.

You can make a living at baseball while not being very good.
I'm a Giants Fan, but I'll always be rooting for Matt Downs

And a 21 year-old Jeff Manto
never got revenge on Greg Maddux for that weak grounder to third; they never faced each other again after this game.

MLB could make a trillion dollars overnight
If they would just offer a pay service to watch old games. I don’t even care what games. It’s just fascinating to see old players, old-style broadcasts, etc. I can’t believe they keep all this hidden away under lock and key.
Imagine if, next November 1, they began that service to kick off the offseason. Flat fee, watch as many games as you want dating back to whenever they started saving the broadcasts. We may never hear from Brisbee again.

Agree 100%
I really want to see what their strategy is here. They’re leaving money on the table, making it harder to get new fans, and letting their existing fans do something else on the internet other than give them money to consume their product.
Either they’re lazy, stupid, or they have some Project X in the works that better not suck.

I would love it
if PBS carried minor league games.

This kid’s got decent stuff, but he has an awkward, high-strain delivery and a low-velocity fastball. His ceiling is probably a back of the rotation starter.
