We are headed, I think, for a de facto four-day All-Star break. Though regular season baseball returns Thursday night, fewer than half the teams -- 14 of 30 -- are in action today. Why not make it a four-day break, play the Futures Game on Monday, have the Home Run Derby Tuesday and the All-Star Game Wednesday? All times Eastern.
7 p.m., MASN, STO: Indians at Orioles. Cleveland begins the second half just half a game behind the first-place Tigers in the AL Central.
7 p.m., MLB Network, WWOR, RSN: Yankees at Blue Jays. The Yankees trail the first-place Red Sox by one game in the AL East. MLB Network viewers in the New York market will see the Indians/Orioles game.
8 p.m., FSN Kansas City, FSN North: Royals at Twins. Minnesota, 20 games under .500 and 16.5 games out of first place on June 1, tries to keep its improbable run toward the top of the AL Central going.
10 p.m., CSN Bay Area, Ch. 4 San Diego: Giants at Padres. Madison Bumgarner starts the second half for San Francisco; Aaron Harang for San Diego.
