White Sox' A.J. Pierzynski Saves Former President Bush

Just one day after Baseball Nation's Grant Brisbee ranked the White Sox No. 1 in this week's Power Rankings due to catcher A.J. Pierzynski, A.J. proved his worth by protecting former President George W. Bush from a foul ball hit by the Rangers' Adrian Beltre at last night's game at Rangers Ballpark.

What a guy. From his fight with the Cubs' Michael Barrett, to topping power rankings, to saving a former President.

Right to the Hall of Fame with you, A.J. (What kind of Hall of Fame, we're not saying.)

Protecting?

I actually thought it looked like he let it go!

Think Obama is jealous that Bush got a reach around from a White Sock?

Bush let him have it

It looked like the President was going to reach up and try to catch the ball, but then backed down when AJ started to reach around. Bush didn’t want to pull a Bartman/Maier I guess.
